A million words can describe this picture. A
picture can be misunderstood or understood. Like in this picture there's a boy receiving a
american flag. This brave young man that has the strength and the
courage of receiving that flag being hand in by the man shown in this picture,
witch is a soldier from the same army
his father once was. in the face of the young boy you can tell
the sadness and upset feeling. you can also tell that he has lost someone special
that served that country as police firefighter or a soldier. The boy
receiving the american flag, honoring a roll model that fought for
his people defending his people, and him self. probably served the country and
played a big rolled in this kids life. can you tell what this boy is feeling?
the sadness? and the honor of receiving the flag for his love one. a person regarded by others, especially
by younger people, as a good example to follow.
Eight-year-old Christian Golczynski
accepts the flag for his father, Marine Staff Marc Golczynski, during a
memorial service. Marc Golczynski was shot on patrol during his second tour in
Iraq (which he had volunteered for) just a few weeks before he was due to
return home. It must hurt knowing your father has died fighting for a country
he lived and grew up on, and you know what probably hurts the most is knowing
he only had a few more weeks to return home and see his family. also
knowing he volunteered to go. his a real fighter i guess. he was strong and
brave, but he has left his kid and wife behind and its sad. but know his in a
better place and taking care of them from heaven were he is beeing
honored as well as down in earth. His father has died defending and for his
country, he probably did not think it was possible that he was going to die and
never see his father again. as young boy you believe that nothing can go wrong.
and this eight year old boy is now honoring his father and taking his roll as
the only boy in his family soon he will be in charge and he will soon be the
nest roll model in his family.
"I want all of you to be safe. And
please don't feel bad for us. We are warriors. And as warriors have done before
us, we joined this organization and are following orders because we believe
that what we are doing is right. Many of us have volunteered to do this a
second time due to our deep desire to finish the job we started. We fight and
sometimes die so that our families don't have to. Stand beside us. Because we
would do it for you. Because it is our unity that has enabled us to
prosper as a nation." - Staff
Sergeant Marcus Golczynski, written a week before he was killed in action in
Iraq
This might of been one of the hardest
thing anybody could of witness, seeing Christian trying to
stay Strong for his family and being 8 years old and to grow up with
out a father telling him what to do or whats wrong, teaching him
what men are suppose to do and not do. Going trough a
love ones death maybe one the hardest thing you will have to face. I remember
when my grandfather past away i was heart broken, i could not believe when i
got that call and i know its hard because till this day i still cant believe
his actually gone and that me and my family will not see him again.
i can imagine what christian and his
family had to go trough, after hearing that they love one has past
away serving the country. Its devastating knowing that so close to seeing
him, to know you will not see him again. Word cant explain the pain this family
has to go trough and for Christian is probably an honor receiving the flag
honoring his brave roll model and probably the greatest men that ever exist to
him, his father.
Christian after receiving the flag
honoring his father's death and braveness for volunteering in Iraq, Christian
will probably follows his dads step. Be as brave as he was taking the
responsibly as the young man in his house. His dad will always be a hero in his
eye, and probably Christian will be the next hero in his family honoring his
father memories dieing a hero and fighting for his country. Is a little sad
knowing that your father will soon return home and then find out that he got
shot in a war were he volunteered to go to. that takes courage.
For me
this picture says a lot, and its sad just knowing that christian is not the
only one going trough this. his not the only one loosing a love one for serving
the country, and not just fighting for a country but out in the street getting
killed for no reason. Rest In Peace for all those people who died fighting and
defending the country and those who died in the street unfairly!
